One of the best parts of the wedding was being married by the beautiful Mary Myers. Mary's confident, graceful, unegotistical presence anchored the ceremony and put everyone at ease. We had written a non-religious text with poems that we liked. Mary helped us edit it and choreograph the ceremony, with smart, sensitive suggestions. Her speaking voice is beautiful, and her pacing made the ceremony feel natural and unscripted.

My wife and I are not religious people, however after the birth of our first daughter she was baptized in a traditional Roman Catholic ceremony, probably more for the grandparents’ sake than our own. When our second daughter arrived circumstances were different, and we chose not to have her baptized in the church. However as spiritual people we did want to have some sort of blessing ceremony for her.
Mary was just the person to help us create this small, intimate ceremony that honored our beliefs and spoke to our hopes and dreams for our daughter Eve. It was a very easeful collaborative effort. Mary offered her own thoughtful ideas while making sure that what my wife and I wanted to express was included as well as. It all combined for a beautifully woven ceremony.
